Content News:
Math: This week in math the students wrapped up unit one with rounding. The good news about rounding in fourth is that it's a repeat of third... just to a higher place. Unit two is introducing decimals into the mix.
Science: This week we learned all about Relative Density! In the lab, students predicted and tested which objects would sink and float. We then discussed which objects were less dense or more dense than water. On Friday, we started our discovery with Properties of Magnetism that will carry into next week!
Social Studies: It's Texas Regions Time!! We have been doing lots of research on the different Texas regions. Students will be creating a Texas Region Booklet! (You will see it come Open House time) :)
Reading & Writing: This shortened week has flown by! This week, we took a look at a new text that helped us practice point of view and looking closer at characters. As a reminder, we visit the library on Wednesday of each week. This is their one chance to return and check out new books. If they forget their books, they have to wait a whole week longer to get new ones. Please help them remember their books. Thank you!
