Special Edition - Student Opt-In to Weekly At Home Antigen Testing
Good morning,
I hope that everyone is doing well. I apologize in advance for inundating your inbox! In Friday’s newsletter, I shared a ton of information regarding our change from Test and Stay to weekly at-home antigen testing.
As I looked back at that document, I realized that there was a lot of information in that newsletter, so I thought I would simply share the Opt-In Form with you again today. Additionally, I wanted to hit the highlights contained in the Opt-In Form.
The Opt-in Form includes key facts about the testing process. Let me highlight a few here:
All individual results will be kept private. The total number of tests and positives will be shared.
This is a voluntary process. You do NOT have to participate. However, if you intend to, you MUST complete the Opt-in Form.
You may opt out at any time. Please send an email to your building nurse, Kristin Tierney (kristin.tierney@amesburyma.org), and to me (elizabeth.mcandrews@amesburyma.org).
You may opt in at a later date. Please send an email to your building nurse, Kristin Tierney (kristin.tierney@amesburyma.org), and to me (elizabeth.mcandrews@amesburyma.org).
You agree that the tests can only be used for the individual to whom they are issued.
Those are the key points. So, if you haven't filled out this Opt-in Form AND want to participate, please do!
IMPORTANT: The tests are expected to ship the week of January 31st. We will begin the at-home testing as soon after receipt of the tests as possible. Testing will be conducted on Tuesdays AFTER SCHOOL.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your school nurse.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth McAndrews
Superintendent
