Thank you to all the friends and families who pledged donations to our annual Walk-A-Thon fundraiser. Your generosity has generated over $11,000! It couldn’t have been a nicer day for our event. All donations will help the PTA sponsor student celebrations throughout the school year including dances, fun nights, team parties, and end-of-year festivities.

We had close to 150 students run in the Jayhawk Jaunt and all students participated in the annual Walk-A-Thon around the pond after the race. Thank you to our PTA volunteers who helped organize the event, take pictures, and pass out water. Congratulations to our boy and girl champions, Tyler and Izabella!

Attention 8th grade families: the P-ACT will be administered to all 8th grade students on Saturday, October 5 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at Jay Stream Middle School. This assessment is used by District 87 to assist with the placement of freshman level courses. You will receive a message this week with more details in timing specific to your child. It is important to note that there will be no makeup test, so please make arrangements to attend the test.

Jay Stream Middle School is working in collaboration with Junior Achievement to host a career day in the afternoon on October 18. We are looking for volunteers to help showcase various careers to our students. Please contact Mrs. Legan at duffylm@ccsd93.com if you are interested in being a speaker.

The next PTA meeting is tomorrow at 6:30 PM in the Jay Stream Innovation Center. Please use the link below to join us virtually if you wish to attend but are unable to meet in person. We hope to see you there!
