Weekly Update February 28, 2025

Please take a look at the Autism Alliance of Michigan's Navigating Autism Today Conference.

This one day conference takes place in Novi and has sessions for parents and professionals. It is only $10 for parents to attend and has a variety of topics from feeding issues, to planning for your child's financial future, parenting stressors, and more!

It's time for our annual family satisfaction surveys! We welcome your feedback and will use it to make improvements to our services. The survey should take just a few minutes to complete. We ask that each family complete at least one survey, but all caregivers are welcome to complete it. We will share the link several times over the next 2 weeks in order to reach as many families as possible.

Remember that we will go outside every day that the temperature feels like 20 degrees or warmer. The playgrounds are wet and squishy, so please continue to send boots and snow pants so we can enjoy the fresh air!

We will be closing our Brighton center for one additional day on Thursday, March 20th. This will allow us to free up enough staff from both buildings for the two day certification course described above. We will have our more experienced Brighton therapists work as "guest" therapists in Burton that day, so families will see some different faces there!

Deja began working for Strive in October 2024. She previously was a Youth Transition Specialist for Able SC.

Deja is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work.

In her spare time, Deja enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercising and relaxing.
