Pennsbury Choir's POPS Concert Celebrates the 80s and Honors Seniors
On Wednesday, May 29, the Pennsbury Choir Department had their annual POPS Concert in Keller Hall, which featured music from the decade of the 80s! The choirs performed hit music such as "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper, "Final Countdown" by Europe, and "Everybody Wants To Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. The concert also featured talented solo singers performing popular hits from the 80s such as "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Houston.
This concert featured a repertoire of music different from the choirs' previous performance at the Princeton University Chapel for the Big Sing, showing that Pennsbury's singers are versatile and can perform varied styles of music. At the conclusion of the concert, the choir department said farewell to their seniors with a slideshow tribute featuring graduation pictures, as well as the Concert Choir performing "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. This concert featured Mr. Josh Suslak on the keyboard and PHS students Gabe Fuentes and Ben Bruno on the drumset.
French II Students Celebrate French Culture with Crepes
The gorgeous weather this past Wednesday provided the perfect backdrop for a French field trip. Pennsbury High School French teachers Madame Carroll and Madame Albrecht took 42 French II students to L'Annexe de Mamie Colette in Titusville, New Jersey, where they enjoyed French pastries.
Isabelle, the owner of L'Annexe de Mamie Colette, taught the students about traditional French crêpes, which originated from her home region of Bretagne (Brittany), France.

Mystery Meets and Maps: Pennwood's Virtual Journey to Texas
As we continue to navigate the benefits of technology, Pennwood Middle School is thrilled to share the success of their recent virtual connection with Clyde Intermediate School in Texas.
Pennwood's 8th-grade Middle School Information Technology (MSIT) class had an exciting experience as they connected with a class from Clyde, Texas, through a mysterious Google Meet session. The students showcased their critical thinking skills and geographical knowledge as they played a game of "Guess the Location" to determine each other's whereabouts. Through the power of maps and deduction, they successfully guessed that their mystery class was from Texas.
This adventure not only brought the two classes closer together, but also highlighted the potential of technology to connect people from different regions. We are proud of our students' achievements and look forward to more virtual adventures that will allow them to explore the world and learn from diverse perspectives without leaving their classrooms.
I Mustache You a Question
On Thursday, May 23, Walt Disney Elementary School had Mustache Day as one of their spirit days leading up to the much-anticipated annual Field Day event. Students and staff chose their own silly mustaches and wore them to class for the entire day to have a little fun before the big event! The hallways were filled with laughter and smiles as everyone sported their unique mustache styles, ranging from curly handlebar mustaches to bold, bright, neon ones.
PHS Musical Theatre Class Ends on a High Note
On Wednesday, May 29, Pennsbury High School students wrapped up their final Musical Theatre Class of the year by performing some of their favorite songs for each other.
Accompanied by teacher Josh Suslak on piano, students performed beloved tunes from Broadway shows such as Hamilton, Dear Evan Hanson, Little Shop of Horrors, and more. Mr. Suslak even joined in on the fun by performing a song for the class.
The session was filled with singing, joy, and constructive feedback in a judgment-free environment, providing the perfect conclusion to the class as we gear up to bring the entire school year to a close.
TMA Bucks SEPTA Travel Training Event at PHS
Recently, TMA Bucks coordinated a SEPTA travel training event where close to 100 Pennsbury High School students and staff participated. Trained SEPTA ambassadors and occupational therapists were on site with a SEPTA bus to explain the basics of riding SEPTA.
Students were able to learn how to board the bus safely, how to use SEPTA Key cards as their fare, proper bus etiquette and how to navigate specific bus routes. Students and staff at Pennsbury also had the opportunity to ask several questions. Sessions throughout the day were geared for students that were planning to enter the workforce after graduation, as well as for the M.O.S.T (More Opportunities for Student Training) program. (Source)
