Classified Appreciation Week!

Binkley Families,

Classified Appreciation Week is May 20-24. Classified appreciation week is a time to recognize the contributions of classified school employees, also known as support staff. These employees include our office manager, clerk, food service workers, educational assistants, librarian, bilingual family liaison, student advocate, noon duty supervisors, extended care workers, and custodians.. They play a critical role in keeping our school running smoothly. We would be at an absolute loss if we did not have the robust support team we have at Binkley!! We are beyond fortunate at Binkley that many of the classified staff here have multiple roles so your child is completely surrounded with staff who care about them. From our noon duty supervisors who are also our extended care workers, USE para-professionals, clerk, bus driver, and combination class assistant.

Scholastic Book Fair this week in the library! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the fair will be open after school until 5:00 and during Open House. Every purchase benefits the school library!

And we can't wait to see you all at OPEN HOUSE tomorrow at 5:30-6:30. We will have the choir is singing at 5:30 on the stage and any other students in attendance who knows the songs can join on stage. We will sing Be Binkley, Do Re Mi, Yellow Sub and Feelin' Groovy.

The 6th grade orchestra will play in the music room at 6pm. Families are invited to casually stroll through the music room while the orchestra is playing. The STEM Lab will be also be open all for the evening for families to walk through and enjoy the Lego Robotics created by the 6th graders! Lastly, we are ready to feed you! Fundraising for next year's 6th grade Outdoor Education Program with a $5.00 hot dog, chips, soda dinner. $2.00 for dessert. 100% of the proceeds go back to our students.
