Soaring into WEEK 30
HAPPY SUNDAY!!!
Dear Henderson Mill Families,
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank each of you for your incredible support throughout March Mania! We not only met but exceeded our goal, and your dedication continues to have a positive impact on our school community. We are truly grateful for everything you do to keep our STEAM school thriving. A special thank you to our PTO for their tremendous support during March Mania!
Congratulations once again to our PreK Team for being named Team of the Month! Your hard work and collaboration are inspiring—well done!
A round of applause for our basketball team for their outstanding performance at the Area 1 Championships! A heartfelt thank you to our coaches and to everyone who came out to support our students. The girls’ team secured 2nd place in our District Championship—I couldn’t be more proud of them!
A big thank you to Ms. Lackey for expertly facilitating Picture Day and thinking on her feet to capture our club and team photos at the last minute.
A huge thank you to Ms. Vela and all instructional staff for your exceptional dedication and hard work throughout MAP testing. Your commitment to ensuring a smooth testing process does not go unnoticed, and I deeply appreciate the effort you’ve put in to support our students’ success.
Also, a special thank you to Sunshine for the wonderful birthday treats and the delicious lunch during conference week. Your thoughtfulness and generosity made a big difference and are truly appreciated by all!
As we move forward, I want to reinforce the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful campus. Please remind your children that we are committed to offering excellent opportunities for growth, but this can only happen when positive behavior is consistently upheld. We’ve made great strides, but we need to remain vigilant—especially during carpool hours. Kindly follow staff instructions during AM and PM carpool to ensure the safety of everyone.
Lastly, I’d like to highlight the crucial role of consistent student attendance in ensuring academic success. We are committed to ensuring that every child arrives on time and attends school regularly. Our goal this year is for no student to miss more than 18 days of school, with an overall 95% attendance rate—up from 80% last year. Your support is essential to achieving this, as consistent attendance is the foundation of providing the best education for each student.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering support. It’s an honor to partner with each of you in educating and nurturing your children. Let’s finish March Mania strong and continue the great work we’ve been doing together!
Have a great day on purpose!
-Dr. Blanton
