Message from the Principal
Hello Spartan Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers,
Thank you to everyone who helped support a Spartan through this challenging week. Our community is strong because of the people who continually choose to support it positively. Our counselors have continued to be present to help anyone who needs support. If you believe that your student needs to talk with a counselor, please let us know! As a reminder, every LHS counselor is a licensed mental health provider on top of being a certified school counselor.
Sincerely,
Cody Japinga
Upcoming Events

Mock Election
On Tuesday, Lakeview students will have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process right here at LHS! Students will be excused alphabetically throughout the day to cast their vote for the next President of the United States! Not only do we hope students have some fun participating, we hope that we can mimic the process well enough to take a little anxiety out of participating when students are eligible to vote.
This is also a great opportunity to engage in a good conversation with your student about civic life and their responsibilities as a citizen in the United States!

Spartan Sport Report
"We play this game with emotion and love. Coach always says 'Emotionally, physically, mentally - come to the field prepared.' Because if you don't bring that to the field, you're going to get beat." - Laura Berg
Volleyball - This past Monday marked a successful conclusion to the regular season as we look ahead to districts. The varsity team secured a victory against Edwardsburg in four sets and continued to achieve success by defeating Portland in three sets. We aim to maintain this positive momentum as we transition into the postseason.
Girls Swim - At the All-City Meet, our team showed incredible energy and optimism! Lakeview secured the win with 530 points, followed by Harper Creek with 500, and Battle Creek Central with 80. Among the meet’s highlights, Anya Foljahn delivered an exciting victory in a tight breaststroke race. Adia Wielenga and Olivia Morales both achieved season-best times in the 100 backstroke, while Natalia Diaz-Andrade set a personal best in the 100 free. Olivia Barker shined with lifetime bests in both the 200 and 500 free, showcasing the hard work and progress of the season.
All of our fall sports have finished their seasons except Volleyball and Girls Swim. Check out the schedule so you can come support our girls in their postseason runs.
