March Board Salutes π

Board Salute: Sarah Chervinko, Milissa Reilly & Barbara Horn
Sarah Chervinko, Milissa Reilly, and Barbara Horn at Benson Primary School have gone above and beyond since the beginning of the school year to ensure a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment for my student. They have worked with my student to provide outstanding support both in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom. At the beginning of the year, I was provided social stories to help my student with navigating the bus, going to after school care, taking pictures, going on a field trip, and many more. They have taken the time to set up a routine and schedule that helps my student to focus and transition between tasks. All three of these individuals have reached out to share positive feedback and share ideas when additional support/changes were needed. I greatly appreciate the partnership and want to recognize these individuals as they truly care about their students and go above and beyond to see them succeed. My student's writing skills and communication have come so far in just a few short months and is displaying skills I wasn't sure my student would have the ability to do. Thank you to all for making Benson a 10!
Board Salute: Mrs. Marinakos, Peacock Middle School
Mrs. Marinakos is an excellent ELA teacher. She builds strong and positive relationships with her 7th grade students. Mrs. Marinakos shows genuine care for her students as people as well as investment in their learning and growth as readers and writers. She makes ELA engaging and relevant to her middle school students. Our 7th grader is even talking at home about what they are reading in class and is genuinely enjoying the texts. We are grateful for a meaningful ELA class that also has a strong sense of classroom community.
Board Salute: Mrs. Vicky Farmer, Benson Primary School
Mrs. Farmer is a great teacher who truly cares about her students and wants to see them succeed.
We feel her big support with our little student and that doesn't go unnoticed. She adds so much love to our family's life. My little student won't stop talking about her either every day after school or even on the days off. Mrs. Farmer is definitely part of our family. Itasca District 10, and we as a family, are so lucky to have her!
Board Salute: Natalie Scipione, D10 Communications Specialist
A standing ovation for Natalie Scipione, our incredible Communications Specialist, whose extraordinary efforts have brought D10βs achievements to the forefront. Natalie's passion and unmatched creativity have amplified our mission, values, and successes in ways that inspire and connect. Through her dedication, she has ensured that the voices of our community are heard far and wide.
