Dear Parents and Carers
World Educators Day Next Friday
Let's celebrate our staff and thank them for the work they do in educating, inspiring and empowering our students. At OLOM we believe that every staff member, no matter what their role, is an educator to your children. Each person supports the development of your child in different ways, whether it comes from the comforting words of our office staff, a reminder about using manners from our canteen staff or the teaching of knowledge by your child's classroom teacher, OLOM children are learning and growing through the efforts of every adult on staff. Please remind your children to say thank you on Friday next week.
Bookclub
Yesterday we launched our Bookclub and 24 eager students participated. I know Mrs Bowring was thrilled with this enthusiastic response from the bookworms in our school.
P&F Quiz Night – 9 November 2024
Our P&F have arranged a Quiz Night at the Warwick Bowling Club on Saturday 9th of November. Please support our school by buying a ticket and attending this event. The evening provides an opportunity to meet new people while raising funds for our school. Details about ticket purchases are published further on in this newsletter. There will be a staff table and we are intent on winning so let that be an incentive to come and beat the teachers!
Colour Run
Thank you to the P&F for organising an outstanding Colour Run event last week. Over $3000 was raised and the money will go towards funding new playground equipment.
Interschools Athletics Carnival
Today selected students attended the Interschools Athletics Carnival. They can be extremely proud of their efforts and achievements on the field as well as their exemplary behaviour and supportive spirit.
Year 6 Camp
Next week our Year 6 students attend a two night school camp. We wish them all the very best and thank those staff who are giving up their time to facilitate this experience for our students. We trust our students will have a wonderful time on camp, strengthening bonds of friendship while challenging themselves both physically and emotionally.
Mass
Next week we have a whole school Mass on Friday at 9am, organised by Year 2W. All families are welcome to attend.
Reflection
Be the change you want to see in the world!
God bless you all.
