It is the last day of Red Ribbon Week, and we want to thank you for your participation in supporting healthy, drug-free lifestyles. We hope you’ve really thought about the meaning of this year’s theme: Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free—and how making healthy choices will help you achieve your goals in life. We only want the best for you and can’t wait to see what you can achieve!
- We are collecting new socks for our SWMS Sock Drive to help those in need stay warm and comfortable this winter. Why Socks? Socks are one of the most needed but least donated items at shelters. Clean, dry socks help prevent blisters and foot diseases. Warm socks can make a big difference during cold months. Every pair of socks counts! Whether you can donate one pair or a whole pack, your contribution will make someone's day a little brighter and their feet a lot warmer. Give your socks to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers and AVID students will be by on Fridays to pick up your socks. Thank you for your generosity and support. Let's put our best foot forward and make a difference in our community!
- All football players interested in joining the wrestling team should contact Coach Davis or Coach Lopez today or come out to practice after school. We are in need of mid- to heavyweight class wrestlers. Come on out and learn how to wrestle and stay in shape for upcoming sports.
- Congratulations to the SWMS bands on a fantastic performance last night! We can’t wait to see them shine again at the holiday concert in December!
