There will be an introductory meeting on Thursday, March 13th at 6:00pm at the Great Valley Middle School Gym to discuss a free golf clinic opportunity for girls grades 6-9. PGA Professionals Eric MacCluen and Cole McCook will go over the backstory of the program as well as next steps to get involved. Come join the fun, learn a skill for a lifetime, and make new friends! Yesterday, GVMS Robotics Team 7517C, consisting of 8th graders Yazhini Ammatha Sathish Kumar, Jolie Hua, and Danny Focht, along with 7th grader Arav Singh, won the Excellence Award at the Eastern PA State Robotics Championship. The Excellence Award is the highest award presented in the VEX Robotics competition. This award is presented to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a high-quality robotics program.

This team is a strong contender in numerous award categories. Criteria include a highly detailed engineering notebook, a quality team interview with judges, team conduct, a quality robotics program, and high rankings in both competition and skills categories. If you see them, please congratulate them and wish them luck at the VEX Robotics World Championships on May 9-11.

This is our fifth time taking teams to Worlds, and second time winning the Excellence Award at the PA State Robotics Championships. This is team 7517C's second year in a row qualifying for Worlds. Congratulations!
