A Message from the Captain
Ahoy!
As we wrap up another meaningful week at Everett, I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you.
This week, during Teacher Appreciation Week, our staff has been absolutely showered with love, encouragement, and generosity — and it means so much. From the thoughtful notes and delicious meals to the beautiful gestures and kind words, your support reminded all of us why Everett is such a truly special place. Thank you for making our staff feel seen, valued, and celebrated. It’s clear that the partnership between families and educators is what keeps this community thriving.
I also want to extend our warmest wishes for a Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, guardians, and mother figures in our Everett community. Your love, strength, and dedication shape our students’ lives in ways both big and small. We see you, we appreciate you, and we hope this weekend brings you a moment of rest, joy, and celebration.
Wishing you a restful weekend and a beautiful Mother’s Day.
Warmly,
Megan

Calling All Everett Eagles to Donate to the Upcoming D67 Spring Food Drive!
The Everett APT is proudly leading our school’s participation in the annual D67 Spring Food Drive. The drive will be held Monday, May 12 through Friday, May 16. Each student will receive a grocery bag along with a detailed flyer about needed donations on Friday, May 9.
Donations can be dropped off in the bins outside during drop-off and pick-up or inside the front vestibule of the school during school hours. To encourage participation, we are holding a friendly competition – the grade level with the most donations will win an extra recess! All food will go to Lake County children and families who rely on school meals to help bridge the gap over the summer when school is not in session. Let’s make this Spring Food Drive our most successful yet! Reach out to Kate Neer, Katy Jaramillo or Kateri Rapport with questions.
If anyone is able to donate plastic bins to please contact Carrie Cole - 847-334-2691.
