Weekly Updates
Week of February 3, 2025
The last few days have been challenging to say the least. We are trained for these tragedies and have crisis teams in place however we hope to never need them. As mentioned in the letter sent to families Friday evening, we will have mental health professionals and therapy dogs available for all staff and students.
There is a Go Fund Me established to support Thomas Cooper's family. We will share any information as we learn more about the families wishes or details regarding any service or arrangements. A few families have inquired about adding some "exploration" items to our playground in honor of Thomas and his passion for outdoors and science. We will share all of these details as they develop.
Kindergarten enrollment opens Monday Feb. 3rd for all Royal Oak residents. Start with this link to begin the process. Elementary Transfers are an option for families who would like to attend an elementary other than the one nearest their home. Elementary transfers are not a guarantee. Schools of Choice families (those living in Oakland County, but not with Royal Oak) can apply starting March 10th.
