A Nebraska Game and Parks Hunter Safety Class will be held March 9 and 10, 6-9pm, and March 11 8am-12pm at the Living Water Church in Plattsmouth. Register at outdoornebraska.org under education. You must be at all classes to be certified. It is a free class.

BOW HUNTER EDUCATION CLASS, March 14th and 16th, 6pm to 9pm and March 18th, 8am to noon, at the Murdock Fire Hall. You are to attend all three classes. Go to huntsafenebraska.org for certification, class info and the rules for young hunter attending. The contact for the Murdock class is Roger Buck at 402-660-7045.

2023 Cass County Communications Event will include: Prepared Speech, Public Service Announcement (PSA), Illustrated Presentation, Impromptu Speech and Video Communications as well a Clover Kid class! Chick Days is an annual educational event for small and back-yard poultry producers and youth to learn more about the poultry industry.

This years event will be held from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on March 25, 2023 at the Department of Animal Science, 3940 Fair St., Lincoln, NE.

The Cass County 4-H Council is once again sponsoring a pop tab contest! Whichever Cass County 4-H Club turns in the most pop tabs by August 6, 2023 by 6pm will receive up to $250 to sponsor a pizza party!

Just log in your account using last years information, be sure to make any changes or updates to emails, phone numbers and addresses, select the project areas you are interested in, answer all questions (there are only 2 required questions under the health form.) and be sure to hit the submit button. If you prefer to complete your YQCA training online, please email Tammy @ tcavanaugh2@unl.edu for a code. Free codes are available to Cass County 4-H youth showing livestock at the Cass County Fair.

This program encourages youth to engage in a variety of age-appropriate experiences and rewards youth for trying new things, setting goals, and keeping records. Excited to announce another year of the Nebraska 4-H Livestock Achievement Program. This additional opportunity for livestock project youth, is designed to promote all educational aspects of 4-H livestock projects including selection, production, leadership, and exhibition by recognizing youth striving to improve in their livestock project knowledge and leadership.

Frontier Cooperative is offering a scholarship for students entering a college or technical school to further his or her education in agricultural-related studies.
