Greeting SCG Community!
We're approaching the wind down at SCG, which is more like a bottle neck of getting everything in and thinking a whole lot about our students! We will miss them and be thinking a lot about them this summer. May they be well and joyous!
Until then, keep an eye on the dates up there! Make sure to come check out our talent show this Friday. Mr. Boyce's class will be holding an opening day celebration for their student-led Chaminade Trail Guide booklet at Secret Park on Wednesday. Ms. Weller has installed an outdoor sunflower classroom and is working with her upper grades on creating activities in our campus's outdoor zones of learning. So much good works continue at the Gardens thanks to you, your kids, and our team!
Lastly, there was so much love and appreciation felt throughout last week. Thank you so much for making us feel seen and valued. Working in public education really requires your whole self, and the Friday snacks, and things small and large really help us keep going and giving our best. Thank you!

Student Talent Show this Friday! Start time is 8:30!
Spanish Flier---- English Flier - all invited to have fun and get on stage!
Keep an eye on all the dates coming up! There's a lot to be aware of in these last couple weeks (not including the last field trips of the school year).
Ocean Guardian Conference Stop- We had a visit last Friday from the NOAA California Ocean Guardian Conference to tour SCG and learn from a few of our teachers. We talked about our student green team, waste management with the students, and activating our zones to have the greatest academic and SEL use, and of course, a sense of wonder!
Mission Statement- Feel Free to see our new tagline "Here We Grow," and see if you can find our new SCG Mission Statement created from our staff retreat. SAGE Program tab.
- Please make sure you are driving slow, mindful, and safe for all of our families walking to school.
- While you're at school, you are welcome to take a walk around our campus before or after school to have your child show you our spaces they spend time learning in throughout the week.
A reminder to use the Stop It app to report any bullying issues anonymously or not. This is one of our district tools from our Anti-Bullying plan.
