This month, we celebrated our Health Professions graduates, and in June we will celebrate our James H. Groves High School graduates and GED earners.
This year is the 60th Anniversary of the James H. Groves High School, and we would love for Groves alumni to join us at graduation to celebrate our 2024 graduates and this milestone anniversary. Driver Education
Our state certified Driver Education class includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 14 hours of in-car driving instruction and observation. Driving times are scheduled after classroom portion. New to Sussex Tech Adult Education - Class B CDL Training
The Sussex Tech Adult Education CDL-B Certification Training prepares students to earn a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B License, enabling them to drive many types of commercial vehicles. The program is offered on a part-time evening basis, allowing participants to work and train at the same time. The program includes classroom instruction, focused on preparing participants for the written exam, yard training, consisting of truck inspection and on-site driving in a controlled environment, and supervised over-the-road driving. Classes run for 10 weeks on 20 weeknights (5 – 9 pm), and 8 Saturday sessions (10 am – 3 pm). Register now for our Certified Nursing Assistant program
We are currently enrolling students for our next set of CNA class scheduled to start in July. Certified Nursing Assistants are in high demand and provide support for medical teams and direct care to patients. Learn to develop the skills and knowledge to provide competent patient care. Successful completion of this program qualifies you to take the Delaware Nurse Aide Competency Exam for certification. A pre-test is required prior to enrollment. Family Lit
Our Family Literacy Program held an End of the Year Celebration Night on May 15. Agustina Tovar was presented with her Outstanding Family Literacy Student Award, our 5th graders graduating from Family Literacy were presented with t-shirts proclaiming them as "Bilingual Superheroes, and a delicious dinner was enjoyed by all! Every child received two books for summer reading and families played card and board games after dinner.
