Dear Robert Hunter Families,
We had a special week at RH! 4th grade students did a great job leading our whole school meeting. We discussed how Robert Hunter is the perfect place to BEE and played “Freeze Bees” as a whole school. It was a great way to kick off our Walkathon!
The weather was perfect for the Walkathon, and the students did a great job walking around our walking path showing that “Robert Hunter is the place to BEE!” They loved that Robbie Raccoon joined in the fun! We want to extend a big thank you to all of the PTO volunteers who helped at the Walkathon and to Emily Soonthornchai who led the event! The PTO exceeded the fundraising goal for our school - thank you to everyone for your amazing support of our school community!
We look forward to seeing families at 9:45 on the blacktop for the Halloween parade!
Have a great week!
Jessica Braynor and Lindsay Shirvanian

This is a New Jersey state program that is run each year to recognize amazing educators. Families- please consider nominating a Robert Hunter teacher and educational services professional who you feel should be recognized with this award. If you are not sure who falls under the category of Educational Services Professional, please click HERE.

Coin Drive
Mrs. Smits and her 3rd Grade students have organized a coin drive to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene and Milton. Please see their flyer below:
Halloween Parade
We are planning our Halloween parade for 9:45 on Oct. 31st. Children should come to school in their costumes, should they choose to participate. As you are choosing costumes, please remember that plastic weapons, such as guns and swords, may NOT be brought to school as part of a costume. Additionally, please be mindful that scary or revealing costumes leave lasting impressions on young children. Your cooperation to keep our parade enjoyable for all is greatly appreciated. If you would prefer your child not to remain in their costume all day, please send in alternative clothing for him/her to change into after the parade. Families are invited to watch the parade on the blacktop if it is held outside. If it rains, we would need to move our parade indoors without family viewing.
From the PTO:
"Robert Hunter if the place to BEE!!!" Walk-A-Thon Wrap-Up
WOW!!! Robert Hunter students, families, and community... you showed up bigtime for this year's walk-a-thon! We had beautiful weather for this past Friday's event, and we had so much fun walking, running, and dancing around the school walking path as we celebrated how Robert Hunter is the place to BEE. Students, teachers, staff, our parent volunteers, and even Robbie the Raccoon all had a wonderful afternoon together.
Now, what you've all been waiting for... our RECORD BREAKING fundraising grand total for this year's 24th annual walk-a-thon is $17,040!!! We cannot say THANK YOU enough for your tremendous support! This support enables the PTO to provide amazing and enriching programming and opportunities for our Robert Hunter students throughout the year, and the PTO is so grateful to have such a supportive community.
To keep the fun rolling, because we surpassed our school-wide fundraising goal, students who participated in the fundraising efforts will be entered into a raffle to SLIME Mrs. Braynor and Mrs. Shirvanian at our November whole school meeting! Additionally, the class in each grade with the highest fundraising participation rate will get to enjoy a PTO-provided popsicle party. Winners will be announced this upcoming week at school and on the PTO's facebook page.
