Mark your calendar, the MMK elementary winter concert has been schedule for the evening of December 19, 2024 at 5:30 PM in the MMK gym. Elementary grades will be performing a selection of winter holiday songs and dances for families and friends.

Saturday youth basketball begin on December 7th at Mary M. Knight. This is a great free opportunity for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Last year, we had a theme of Above-The-Line and recognized student that were that demonstrated characteristics or actions of being Above-The-Line. This year we will continue our student recognition program as part of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program with our positive referrals and weekly GRIT awards.

GRIT Awards - In the 2024-25 academic year, we're all about embracing 'Nurturing Resilience, Inspiring Excellence' as our guiding principle. We believe that having GRIT – Growth, Resilience, Intensity, and Tenacity – is key to creating a culture where challenges are seen as stepping stones to greatness. We want to foster a growth mindset in our students and ourselves, understanding that hard work and dedication can help us develop our abilities and intelligence. Student will be nominated weekly if they are demonstrating characteristics of GRIT. Student will receive a certificate and shared out.

Ms. Niles: It never fails, I always need technology help and Super Deanna always flies over to rescue me. I truly appreciate that she "drops" everything she doing and helps me get untangled from computer issues.... I mean my issues. I seriously would be lost with out you! Thank you Deanna and know I will ALWAYS need help...... lots of help!

Ms. Bingham: From a student, I nominate Ms. Bingham because she's really inclined to work with the students and will push us to try our hardest even when we are frustrated. I feel like we can laugh with her and still get our work done. She's just an adult I can trust; I can talk to her about anything and trust her with it.
