It's the end of the school year and the end of another season of the D73 DRIVE Podcast! Sometimes it's hard to see all of our accomplishments until we step back and really take in the landscape. Our new cafeteria point of sale system is here! As of April 1, the K12 PaymentCenter has closed, with all balances now securely transferred to the new LINQ Connect Portal, a robust Titan School Solutions product. LINQ Connect offers a simpler, more integrated way to manage your child's meal account. Sign up now to enjoy convenient access to menus, easy account replenishes, and more.

We want to emphasize the significance of regular attendance. Students absent more than 10% of school days are considered chronically absent, impacting their learning journey. Should your student need to miss school, please inform us within 24 hours. Arriving late also results in a tardy record.

What You Can Do: Your child's presence enriches our school community, and we eagerly anticipate their contributions. To support their success, we encourage regular attendance and invite you to use the PowerSchool Parent Portal for updates on attendance and grades. If you or your child need any assistance, our doors are always open. Let's work together to ensure a thriving educational experience for your student.

As we head into the summer months, make sure you're keeping up with all the fun and exciting activities happening around our community! Follow the Vernon Hills Park District's Facebook page to stay informed about upcoming events, programs, and more. It's a great way to ensure you and your family don't miss out on any of the action!

The Village of Vernon Hills offers a free emergency message system for people who live, work, go to school or visit the Village. Messages are limited to urgent matters, such as emergency road closures. Sign up on through the Village of Vernon Hills website'sBlackboard Connect Messages portal. Choose how you would like to receive your messages: text, voice mail or email.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Back-to-School Resource Fair on August 3, hosted by Mano a Mano Family Resource Center. As a non-profit dedicated to serving the immigrant community in Lake County, Mano a Mano is excited to invite you to this annual event. Last year, they welcomed 250 families who benefited from the resources and services provided by 40 organizations. Each attending family received a backpack and a school kit!

Head over to the Northwestern Medicine Grayslake Outpatient Center on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a day of fun and learning. Enjoy interactive exhibits, photo ops with a Flight for Life helicopter, and free giveaways like teddy bears and bike helmets, all while learning valuable health and safety lessons. Don’t miss out!
