St. John Lutheran School exists to nurture children in faith and intellect, equipping them for Christian lives of service.

Midweek Lent Services

We have our last Lent service today at 3:30 p.m.

Our 6:30 service is cancelled due to illness. We will still have our 3:30 service and supper.

Our students in Grades 3-8 sing in our 3:30 service and the 5th and 6th Grade Recorder choir are playing pre and post service music.

Families - children and adults - are encouraged (all children need to be supervised) to worship together and to join us for the "Lent Supper" that immediately follows the 3:30 pm service in our Fellowship Hall.

Note: After-school care will still be in session for those who need it. If E.S.S. is outside you can go to the preschool playground to pick-up. If E.S.S. is inside please come in through the front doors and head downstairs to Mrs. Smith's classroom to pick-up.

School Staffing Report

Alicia Thies has accepted renewal of our provisional one-year call. We are blessed!

On Monday, March 11, Mrs. Sarah Lofsness received a call to serve as Preschool Director at St. Luke’s in New Lisbon, WI. Sarah asks for your prayers and invites you to speak with her about ministry at St. Luke’s and St. John.

On Monday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m., we will have a Call Meeting to call for a 5th & 6th Grade Teacher.

Spring Break

No School Monday, March 25 - Monday, April 1. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 2.

Food, Fellowship, Fundraising, and FUN!

St. John Families, please join your Parent Teacher Partnership at the Libertyville Culver's (803 E. Park Ave.) for a FUNdraiser on Thursday, March 21!

We will earn a portion of all sales from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Come and get dinner before Entertainment Night or celebrate after Entertainment Night with ice cream! Invite friends and family!

After School Program Pick-Up

When picking up students from after-school programs, please check the E.S.S. sign on the main entrance doors to determine where to enter the building. If E.S.S. is outside, please go to the preschool playground and those working E.S.S. will direct you where to go for pick-up. If E.S.S. is inside, please buzz / ring the "Ring" doorbell to gain access to the building.

Spanish Class

We meet on Mondays.

Pioneers

We meet on Mondays (2-3 times a month) after school until 4:30 p.m.

Forensics

After Spring Break we will meet on Wednesdays until 4 p.m.

Getting Involved at St. John

Are you hoping to volunteer for Spirit Days or chaperone a field trip? Parents and care-givers who will be working directly with students (Field Trip chaperones, Spirit Day volunteers, ...) will need to first apply (and be approved) through our Safe-Child Program. Stop by the office after drop-off or before pick-up time to get an application for working with St. John youth. You may have already gotten this application from your child's teacher on one of our registration nights. Once completed, the application can be turned in to the school office.

PPP Hour Opportunity

On Sunday, March 24, we have a Workship Day starting after out 9 a.m. worship service. This is a great opportunity to get PPP Hours. You are welcome to join us for worship and working!
