A Message from the Principal
Greetings Bronco Families!
It was another great week of learning & engagement at Crews. Congratulations to our Crews Caring Award nominees -Abel Fisseha, Clara Hibbard, Elisa Halbes, Heer Kalaria, Justing Gonzales Torres, Kendall Ernst, and Olivia Scholte. They were recognized for their servant leadership throughout the school community. Abel will be representing Crews at the district level. Special shoutout to our Peer Leaders, Chorus, Jazz Ensemble, and Entrepreneurship program for showcasing the best of Crews as we hosted the Brookwood Community Leadership Luncheon for American Education Week!
As we enter the last month of the semester, monitor your student’s performance and engagement closely to help them finish strong. Remember that your 24-25 Parent and Family ReFsource Guide provides additional guidance for doing so. Here are some key reminders:
All missing/absentee assignments are due the first week of December. Afterwards, teachers will be focused on grading final projects and exams.
Crews along with 32 GCPS schools will be participating in a short pilot of clear backpacks, January 6 -31. If you missed the Parent Square communication, please review detailed information about the clear backpack pilot on our website.
Crews will share its implementation plans in mid-December, including dates clear backpacks will be provided.
Communications will go out in December about the Georgia School Climate surveys for stakeholders.
These surveys are anonymous, but participation rates determine our state rating for school climate.
Check out these documents to learn more about the GA School Climate Survey for Students and GA School Climate Survey for Families.
Final exams will occur December 17 - 20. Exams cannot be taken early. Make-up testing will occur the first week of January.
Review our Crews December Final Exams' Schedule carefully and plan accordingly.
Please reach out to the school if you need assistance to support your student’s journey. Have a safe fun-filled break!
In service to others,
Principal Moffett
