School Transportation
Buses
Dee Bus Co. is our dedicated bus transportation provider. They have provided the route listings to Central Office and the school and were sent to all families via email (updated routing list) this past Friday. For safety purposes, we do not post the routes publicly.
Students will ride the bus to and from their registered home address only.
Historically, the bus routes take longer than anticipated the first several days of school as the drivers and students get used to the dismissal routine and navigating the route. We thank you in advance for your patience.
For any questions or concerns regarding your child's bus stop, please contact Dee Bus Co. directly via email at nkelly@deebus.com.
Parent Pick-up & Drop-Off
A summary of the most important information related to these procedures is listed below.
Student Arrival (Drop Off)
No early drop off will be permitted - drop off begins at 8:25 AM.
Parent drop off for arrival will occur in the usual location at the front of the building.
Parents are expected to pull their cars up as far as they can along the sidewalk in the drop off area to allow for as many as 8 cars in the area at one time
Students will exit their cars independently and proceed onto the sidewalk and into the building. Parents should remain in their car. Any parent needing to step out of the car to assist their children should plan to park on the basketball court or in a parking space in front of the school and walk their child to the front of the building.
Parents will then exit by making a left at the end of the peninsula and through the parking lot just as they have done in the past, waiting for the cars in front of you to depart first.
As you drive around the back of the building, please be aware some middle school classes might be transitioning and utilizing outdoor space and we ask you to proceed cautiously.
Student Dismissal (Pick up)
Parents should not arrive to pick up students before 2:50. This will prevent interference with LBMS pick up procedures
Parent Pick-Up Students will gather in the gym.
Students will be dismissed from the gymnasium through the exterior door near the kindergarten playground.
As you loop around the school, please pull up as far as you are able.
If possible, please place a sign on your dashboard with your family name.
Staff will be on hand to assist you and call via walkie-talkie for your children.
The picture below shows the route around the building to drive. The blue line indicates where morning drop off will occur. The afternoon pick up will be at the end of the red line on the side of the building.
Change of Dismissal Notification
Ensuring a smooth dismissal process for your child requires your cooperation in sharing their regular dismissal plans with the teacher and office. This information is vital for us to execute your intended dismissal arrangements effectively and maintain an orderly process.
To facilitate a seamless adjustment to the day's dismissal plan, please complete the form below which will be shared with the teachers and dismissal staff daily. Kindly submit any changes by 12:00 PM to allow us sufficient time to review and update the dismissal roster for our staff.
*Extended Learning families should still contact the Extended Learning team to notify them directly of change in plans, as well.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a safe and efficient end-of-day transition for all students. Thank you!
Reporting a Student Absent or Tardy
To report a student absent or tardy, please send one email and include both the teacher and MREattendance@nrsd.net. Both the office and Nurse Lyndsey view messages for
It's crucial for us to be informed whether your child will arrive late or be absent. If we don't receive any communication from you, we may need to reach out to both you and your emergency contacts. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of your child.
Returning Student Registration
Returning Student Registrations were emailed to all families whose children attended MRE in previous years. We kindly request that you complete the RSR as soon as possible, as it provides essential information needed by the school. Please ensure that phone numbers, emails, and any other relevant details are up to date. The registration notice is sent to the first parent/guardian listed when you first registered them. Thank you for your prompt attention!
