Marty's Minute

You are invited to join us on Tuesday, April 25th, for a community meeting regarding the 2023-24 school year budget.

We will gather in the Jefferson Elementary Gym (218 E 12th St, Port Angeles, WA 98362). This presentation will also stream on YouTube: https://youtube.com/live/_dAQN2MXXrM?feature=share

This meeting is open to students, families, staff, and community members. During this time, in-person stakeholders can learn more and ask questions about Port Angeles School District's budget outlook and planning for the next school year.

While this budget is challenging to navigate, I can't pass up the opportunity to thank everyone for your commitment to our students. Let's continue to move forward as a team and work together as we head into the home stretch of this school year.

Mobile Health Clinic - Appointments for Staff!

Did you know that you can now schedule an appointment to be seen on North Olympic Healthcare Network's Mobile Health Clinic?

The mobile health clinic will provide services directly to staff and students, including medical, behavioral health, and dental screenings.

If you have questions about the clinic or if you would like to schedule an appointment, please get in touch with PASD Family Navigator Becca Larsen at #360-565-3706 or email:

What My Home Means To Me - Poster Essay Contest

Third graders across the district participated in the 40th annual "What My Home Means To Me" contest sponsored by the Port Angeles Association of Realtors (PAAR).

With 12 classrooms and 234 students participating, all of the winners from each school attended a special breakfast hosted by PAAR with their families and teachers.

Grand prize winners received gift certificates from Swains! Congratulations to all of our students!

Youth United - Letter in Service Volunteer Celebration

Students who volunteer 145 or more hours of service in a year can earn their school varsity letter, the same as those earned by athletes and musicians.

The PASD Team, United Way of Clallam County, Lion's Club, and Kiwanis Clubs recognized and rewarded students for their volunteer efforts in the community this year with an awards dinner at Chestnut Cottage!

KONP' Todd Ortloff Show!

Dry Creek Teacher, Lambert Grimes represented PASD during a recent interview on KONP's Todd Ortloff Show! Lambert attended with Field Hall representatives Kayla Oakes and Steve Raider Ginsberg to talk about the Peninsula Performs program in our schools.

The Field Hall team then shared more details about the upcoming grand opening of the facility in July.
