Cell phone/ Wireless/ Mobile Device/Policy
๐ฑHello Parents:
Scholars have a difficult time concentrating in class as the weather becomes increasingly warm outside. They become antsy, and it makes it challenging for staff to balance curriculum engagement with enjoying the beautiful weather outside. Adding โa mobile ๐ฑdevice to the equation ๐ฐmultiplies the dilemma!
Wireless communication is by scholars is restricted during instructional time and while on school campus! If you need to communicate transportation changes please do them before you leave home. if anything changes, please make them in the PikMyKid App. If you need another form, send a message on the Band App or contact the main office at (219)359-1522. Our top priority is safety and education. Please know that we care that you communication with your scholar; however, we also, want them to have ๐ฏ% engagement in class!
Please speak with your scholar about turning in their Cell phone/ Wireless/ Mobile Device when they enter the buildings. They will not bring them into the classrooms to give them so individual staff members of their choice. We have purchased secured locked boxes for scholars to use. Blue for car riders and red for bus riders.
