Low Ash Primary
Weekly round up - 6.12.24
Autumn half term 2 - week 5
Reception & Key Stage 1 Stars of the Week
Key Stage 2 Stars of the Week
'Well done' to this week's Stars of the Week (pictured above) who have all had exceptionally good weeks.
As I said last week, a huge thank you to all of those who contributed towards and / or attended and supported the school Christmas Fair. Thanks to everyone's efforts, a massive £2,000 was raised for school. This will help us hugely. Fundraising helps us to run our two minibuses, expand our outdoor learning and playtime provision, helps fund resources for our SEND learning spaces and so much more.

Attendance
This week's school attendance is 94.5%.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.6 %
Early Years/Key Stage 1 class of the week is 1P with 99.3% attendance.
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 4BY with 98.6% attendance.
Once more, here is the link to the attendance page of the school website which has information on the Penalty Notice system. Ultimately, more than 2 penalty notices could result in the council taking you to court and a criminal record. We really do not want any of our families to have to go through this.
SEND - Parent and Carer drop in
A reminder that on Tuesday 17th December, from 9am, we are holding a parent and carer drop in to discuss all things SEND. Mrs Spedding (Inclusion Leader) will be joined by Rachel James from the Social, Communication, Language and Interaction (SCIL) Team. Coffee, tea and mince pies will be available! If you would like to attend just come to the school office after you have dropped your child (ren) at school. There is absolutely no need for your child to be on the SEND register for you to attend.
Our SEND sensory room
Our Nurture room
KS2 volunteering
Some of our Key Stage 2 pupils continue to volunteer at the Wrose Chapel coffee morning each week. They are a real credit to the school.
School Trips
Although taking place last week, we did not share any of the lovely photos from the Year 5 History trip to the Industrial Museum. It was amazing how well the pupils adapted to being in a Victorian classroom!
Reception also had their annual 'lights night' last night. As always, it was a fantastic experience.
The School trips continue next week with Year 3.
Author Visit
We were very lucky to have the published author, Deane Narayn-Lee, visiting us in school on Tuesday this week. We hope that the pupils enjoyed the experience and, for those that have bought the book - The Loving Earth, we are sure that you're finding it a great addition to your book shelf!
