Weekly Newsletter
Dear Morris Families,
I hope you found ways to stay warm during this chilly week! Please remember to dress your child appropriately for the weather, as we head outside whenever possible. On Friday afternoon, we took students outside to enjoy some fresh air despite the cold.
Snowana the Snowplow!
Ms. Simonelli’s second-grade class had an exciting visit from Snowana the Snowplow! This visit was part of the MassDOT’s third annual "Name A Snowplow" contest, where Ms. Simonelli's class was one of 12 winning classrooms out of over 900 entries across the state. The students had the chance to climb into the cab of the snowplow and even honk the air horn! Special guests at the event included the MassDOT Commissioner, Monica G. Tibbits-Nutt; State Highway Administrator, Jonathan Gulliver; MassDOT District 1 Director, Francisca Heming; State Senator, Paul W. Mark; and State Representative, Leigh Davis.
School Committee Election
The next School Committee election is approaching, and there are four seats up for vote. If you're interested in running, please be aware that completed nomination papers must be returned to the Registrars for certification by Monday, March 17th at 5:00 p.m. Don't miss this opportunity to get involved in shaping the future of our schools!

Valentines Day
As Valentine's Day grows closer. I wanted to remind families when purchasing Valentines Cards for your child's classroom, we do not allow Valentines with food or candy to be passed out. Several children have food allergies. Paper Valentines are best. Please reach out to me with any questions
Family Valentine Dance
LMMHS is once again planning the family Valentine dance at the LCC.
This year it will take place on Saturday, February 8 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Tickets are $10 per person. We have a great DJ, unlimited use of a photo booth and a door prize. There will also be raffles and concessions available for $1.
We do not sell tickets at the door so interested families must RSVP in advance. There is a 200 person occupancy limit at the LCC so tickets are limited.
Please have interested families email me or click this link to RSVP.
