Looking ahead, we can merge lessons from the past with emerging knowledge, ensuring the continued advancement and full implementation of comprehensive school counseling programs in every school district nationwide. Counseling, Advising, & Student Supports

Counseling, advising, and student support services are core functions of Texas schools. Collectively, these functions enable students to realize their potential by preparing them to set ambitious goals, define a pathway to achievement, and successfully navigate personal and academic obstacles they encounter along the way.

Matzke Elementary School counselors receive CREST award

Matzke Elementary School was announced as a 2024 Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas award winner by the Texas School Counselor Association. Matzke counselors Dr. Janis Roberson, left, and Elizabeth Ross, right, will receive the official award and banner during the annual Texas School Counselor Association conference on Feb. 2.
