We have noticed an increase in the number of parents rushing into the Bus Loop parking lot right before 8:00 am in order to drop their students off for arrival. Please note that this area is not designated as a drop off location for students from a vehicle, other than from the bus. Please use the car loop drop off area on the North Side of the building. This allows students to exit the car directly in the hallway area and enter the building allowing for a safe area to exit the vehicle.

As always, the safety of our students is our top priority and having vehicles driving through the bus loop area during arrival has potential to impact our student's safety.

You should see it come home Thursday, April 3rd. If you would like to fill out the form and return it with your student to their teacher we would like to recognize your student as a child of a Military Family.

Congratulations to Mrs. Bryant's class for achieving the highest attendance at this year's Long Dogger Gemini Night Out! The class will enjoy a catered lunch as a reward for their participation. A big thank you to everyone who joined in and helped support Gemini this year! Additionally, Long Doggers will be showing their appreciation by providing a catered lunch for the Gemini staff during this year's appreciation week, recognizing our incredible participation in the Spirit Night Out events.

Teacher Appreciation Week at Gemini is happening April 7–11, and we’re excited to celebrate our incredible teachers and staff with a week of creativity and gratitude! Each day will feature a special theme, a thoughtful gesture, and a treat or lunch for our teachers. From heart-shaped notes and supply donations to a gallery of student self-portraits, there are many ways to show our appreciation. Beginning Monday, August 26th, there will be one day a week that parents can sign up, in advance. Please include your child in the number of people you are signing up. • Parents must be on time for their child’s scheduled lunch time. • Parents must communicate with their child’s teacher that they will be coming to lunch on that day. • Parents must sign in at the front office and will be escorted to Center Court and supervised if they are not a registered volunteer. Registered volunteers do not need to be escorted or supervised during their lunch in Center Court. • Parents may only have lunch with their child. • We strongly suggest that younger siblings stay home as we will have limited seating available. • Please be mindful of time, your child will need to report back to the cafeteria before the end of their lunch period. Parents will sign out in the front office.

The 2024-2025 ESE Parent Survey window is now open! Each year, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) surveys parents of children with an individual education plan (IEP) to determine how well districts and schools are partnering with parents and promoting parent involvement in their child’s education. All states must collect this data for reporting on their State Performance Plan, as required under the Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA).
