Lake Seneca Family Newsletter
Sunday, January 12
Hello Lake Seneca Families,
I hope this message finds you well and that your 2025 is off to an amazing start!
As we dive into the new year, I’m filled with excitement about the opportunities ahead. Together, we’ll continue to build on our successes, strengthen our connections, and support the growth and achievement of all our students.
Join Us for Heritage Night!
We are thrilled to invite you to Heritage Night on Thursday, January 16, from 6:00–8:00 PM here at Lake Seneca Elementary School. This special event is for the entire Lake Seneca community, and we’d love for your family to participate!
Heritage Night is a chance to celebrate and learn about the incredible diversity of cultures that make our school so unique. Families are encouraged to set up a table (science fair style) to showcase and teach others about their culture. Here are some ideas for how to participate:
- Create a display about your family’s traditions, history, or customs.
- Wear traditional clothing that represents your culture.
- Bring in artifacts or items of cultural significance.
- Share traditional foods for others to try!
If you’d like to participate, please contact our Community School Liaison, Patrice Holmes, at Patrice_A_Holmes@mcpsmd.org.
We can’t wait to see our community come together for this fun and educational evening. Let’s make it a night to remember!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Have a wonderful week, and I look forward to seeing you at Heritage Night on Thursday!
Always Learning, Always Growing!
Mr. Henderson

Access to Devices and Wi-Fi for the 2024-2025 School Year
At Lake Seneca Elementary, we are committed to ensuring that all students have the tools they need for success, including access to a device and reliable Wi-Fi at home. To help us determine which students need these resources, we are asking families to complete a brief survey.
For students who need a device at home, families can submit the Student Home Use Chromebook Request form. Once submitted, the student’s information will be verified for take-home device eligibility, and a Chromebook will be sent to the school for the student to check out. Please note that students will not be required to bring the home-use Chromebook to and from school. The request form is available in both English and Spanish for your convenience.
If your family needs Wi-Fi access, you can also request a MiFi device by notifying a staff member, who will complete the Student MiFi Request form on your behalf.
We are here to support you and ensure every student has the resources they need. If you have any questions or need assistance with these requests, please contact the school office.
