🥾🔦 BACKPACKING CLUB TRIP ⛺🌄
The backpacking trip in the Laguna Mountains was an unforgettable experience! Members of Mr. Graf’s Backpacking Club braved the chilly weather and completed a challenging 7-mile hike with snow covering the ground. The crisp mountain air, stunning winter scenery, and the sense of accomplishment made it all worthwhile. Trekking through the snow added an extra layer of adventure, testing endurance and teamwork. Whether setting up camp, keeping warm, or simply enjoying the peaceful beauty of the mountains, the trip was a true testament to the club’s dedication to outdoor exploration.
📏🎒CELEBRATING 100TH DAYS OF SCHOOL!🏫🍎🎒
At Roosevelt Middle School, we recently celebrated the 100th day of school with lots of excitement and creativity! Many of our staff members dressed up to mark the occasion, embracing the theme of being "100 days older and 100 days smarter." It was wonderful seeing everyone get into the spirit of the day, showcasing their unique interpretations of what it means to reach this milestone in the school year. The energy was infectious, and it was a great reminder of how much we've all grown and learned together since the start of the academic year.📖
🪡RMS SEWING CLUB🧵
It was a fantastic morning at the RMS Sewing Club! The parents were excited to start their apron projects, each bringing their own personal touch to the design. One mom wanted to make an apron for her grandchild. We receive a visit from VUSD Board President, Rena Marrocco, who also embraced the creativity, making their own aprons alongside everyone else. The atmosphere was filled with teamwork, laughter, and the hum of sewing machines. It’s always wonderful to see the club bringing people together through the art of sewing!

THE TEEN DATING VIOLENCE COMMITTEE
Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults: 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.
Each February, young adults and their loved ones nationwide raise awareness about teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM). This annual, month-long effort focuses on advocacy and education to stop dating abuse before it starts.
