Hello,
We have successfully completed week two and it has been great! The students have exceeded our expectations with their behavior, respect, and how they have helped each other navigate the building. Our goal is to celebrate our students monthly in several areas. One of these areas that we are really focusing on is attendance. Please refer to the chart found below in the SMORE for the breakdown of missing days and how it affects student success.
The students received their Chromebooks last week. They are responsible for ensuring that their Chromebooks are charged and ready for use each day. We asked the students if they wanted a case for their Chromebooks and most of them took one. The district has a new tool to help monitor the students when they are logged into their Chromebooks. This system will alert us if students are on unapproved sites, using inappropriate emails or chats, or searching for items that could harm themselves or others. As always, please log in to your student's technology and check to see what they are working on.
Students can enter the building at 7:15 every morning. We ask them to go to the cafeteria to grab breakfast or visit with friends for a few minutes. We have staff in the hallways, the cafeteria, and outside for student arrival and dismissal.
We need your help if you drop your student off in the morning. Please pull all the way to the furthest cone and then let the students out. By doing it this way, we can unload up to 12 vehicles at one time. This speeds up the process quickly and safely.

Student Expectations for Attending Sporting Events
We are excited to welcome students to cheer on our Clio teams. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for each game. For our football games, students must be in the stands to watch the game.
Positivity Project
Please take note of the following information:
The Positivity Project (P2) is the social-emotional platform that we are using with our staff and students. Every week, students will focus on one of the twenty-four character strengths. This platform allows students to gain a better understanding of their own strengths and those of others, which helps to improve communication.
