Learning Goals
What's Happening In...
Kindergarten Learning Goals:
I can finish my snowy day collage with painted snow, thinking about where snow should be in my picture.
I can use paint to show rainbow order, or ROY G BIV.
I can create a self-portrait with shapes.

I can review use of oil pastel resist.
1st Learning Goals:
I can identify a tradition that I have and show it in a drawing.
I can use tempera paint to the foreground and background of my tradition picture.

2nd Learning Goals:
I can learn about an artist, Romero Britto.

I can identify and practice creating complementary color designs with patterns, using tempera paint.
3rd Learning Goals:
I can use the primary colors to create a secondary color gradient.

I can identify many types of landscapes and choose one type for a final drawing.
I can identify the parts of a landscape; foreground, middle ground, and background.
I can include details in the foreground middle ground, and background of an imaginary landscape.

4th Learning Goals:
I can identify printmaking tools and techniques; including a rainbow roll or gradient.
I can create a series of prints of a character I invented.
I can identify what makes a print strong.
I can identify my three strongest prints for my series.
I can reflect upon my project in a self-assessment and title my work.
5th Learning Goals:
I can mix accurate skin and hair tones using my knowledge of the color wheel.
I can paint my self-portrait using the skin and hair tones I mixed.
I can reflect upon how artists Kehinde Wiley and Bisa Butler use color in their artwork.
