News & Information for November 2024
S.R.O. Officer Williams' Safety Drills and Plans for School and Home
Practicing safety drills at school and home is crucial for creating a secure environment. At Linden Schools, my primary role involves collaborating with children and staff to uphold safety protocols. We regularly conduct drills for fire emergencies, severe weather, and lockdown situations. The purpose of these practices is to foster familiarity and understanding, ensuring everyone knows how to respond effectively during an emergency.
I encourage families to establish and practice safety plans at home as well. This preparation helps children understand what to expect in case of an emergency, reinforcing a sense of security and readiness. Together, we can create a safer community by prioritizing safety awareness and preparedness. Go Eagles!

Message from Food Service
Food Service: Michigan lawmakers have approved the state's budget, which includes universal free meals at school. That means that all students in our district are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch through our Food Services department at no cost.
Although meals are free this year, we still need a Summer EBT and Education Benefits Application completed. This information is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc. Specifically, this supports our Intervention Programs at Linden Elementary.
