New to BHS School Counseling....SCOIR!
What is SCOIR?
SCOIR is the new one-stop online system that provides students with college and career planning tools during their time at Brookfield High School. Our Class of 2025 are currently working on college applications right now!
Students, check out "The Student Experience on SCOIR".
For Parents/Guardians
Parents/guardians can be connected to SCOIR through their student's accounts. Students can invite parents/guardians to SCOIR through a feature in the student's profile. For more information on how parents/guardians can use SCOIR, please view the "SCOIR Parent/Guardian Overview" video.

UCONN announces upcoming IWEM Workshop on October 26
UCONN is excited to announce an upcoming IWEM workshop on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at the Musculoskeletal Institute (MSI) at UConn Health in Farmington, CT.
At the Inspiring Women in Engineering & Medicine (IWEM) workshop, we are committed to exposing young women to the rewarding fields of Medicine and Engineering. In a time where women comprise such a small fraction of the workforce in these fields, IWEM creates an opportunity for women to experience and appreciate what these male-dominated professions entail. We aim to inspire hope in these young women by providing an unparalleled experience in these fields. We strive to recruit high school students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds into our program to equip them with the excitement, knowledge, and mentorship necessary to pursue careers in these fields.
IWEM is a FREE, four-hour, hands-on workshop for high school women interested in pursuing careers in Medicine or Engineering.
Currently seeking applicants for our UConn Health Program. Participants should be female or nonbinary students in grades 10+ with an expressed interest in science, medicine, and/or engineering. We would appreciate it if you could spread the word to any high school students you may know.
Applicants can complete our online application from September 23rd, 2024, to the application deadline on October 10th, 2024, at 7 PM.
The IWEM workshop has limited capacity, so applicants should not delay.
The IWEM application may be accessed directly using the following link: https://www.drcoyner.com/iwem.html.
