Benbrook Varsity softball is now 2-0 in district after winning against Eastern Hills 17-0 on March 22nd. The girls continue to get better each game and have grown together as a team.
Josie Goins #14 smashed an inside the park homerun along with a single and 6 RBI's. She is hitting a .458 overall this season.
Kendal Molinar #5 was savvy and aggressive behind the plate finishing the game with 6 putouts.
Valery King #4 not only throwing the heat on the mound with 5 strikeouts out of 9 batters faced, but she also brought the energy and enthusiasm in the dugout and on the field.
Benbrook JV softball played Trinity Valley on Tuesday March 22 and won 11-9.
From Coach Jerkins: We are proud of this year's Benbrook JV softball team. We have a lot of young women playing softball for the first time and are doing a great job learning how to play the game and growing together as a team. Looking forward to the second half of our season and seeing how these girls continue to improve and grow as athletes.
Paschal HS
Over spring break, your Varsity Paschal Lady Panthers competed against Weatherford HS and Euless Trinity HS. We fell short on Monday against Weatherford but came back and secured the win against Euless Trinity on Wednesday, 16-7. Maliya Chavez came in strong at the plate against Euless Trinity and had her first grand slam of the season, putting your Lady Panthers up 9-0 in the bottom of the 5th inning.

The Fort Worth City Championship Tournament was held at TCU Courts Thursday. The tournament consists of all FWISD high schools with Tennis teams. The team had to play best 2 out of 3 sets to 4; if the sets split, the third set was a super tiebreaker (meaning they had to play to 10 points). Many of Benbrook's games went to tiebreakers. The team played their most challenging to advance in this all-day tournament. Caroline Hawkins and Ryan Trinkle represented Benbrook by taking 3rd overall in mixed doubles against Paschal High School (6A). If you see any of these athletes today, please congratulate them.
