Student Cell Phone Use Policy
This year, the School Board will engage the school district community to help inform the creation of a student cell phone use policy. A cell phone advisory group of students, parents and teachers is working collaboratively with administration to develop recommendations for cell phone use by educational level (elementary school, middle school, high school). These recommendations will be provided to the School Board which will develop a cell phone policy in compliance with new legislation. A survey for parents, secondary students and staff will be shared in the coming weeks, and community engagement sessions will be hosted as well. Learn more at mvpschools.org/cellphones.

Here is the 6th Grade A/B Calendar for the school year. The A/B days pertain to phy-ed/music classes.
Here is the daily bell schedule, as well as the "Nest" Schedule on the second page.
Edgewood students are expected to be on time to each of their classes. Passing time is 4 minutes. Music plays over the PA system during the last minute of passing time to help students arrive on time. Arriving on time means that students are ready to engage in their learning activities and are not disrupting the beginning of class. Students that arrive late to class one or more times per day each week will be assigned to lunch detention the following Tuesday. Safe Routes to School Survey
The City of New Brighton is seeking input from District families as they work to create a Safe Routes to School plan. The plan will recommend ways to make walking and biking to school easier, safer and more comfortable for students and families at Edgewood. Please share your thoughts in this quick survey before October 15.
In addition to the survey, you can also use this interactive map to comment on opportunities and barriers to safely and comfortably walking and biking to school. You can also share your existing walking and biking routes.
