Firefly Families,
As we close out another week, I am filled with pride for everything our students and staff have accomplished. It is hard to think that the end of the first nine weeks is near.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents and guardians who attended parent-teacher conferences. Your presence and engagement truly reflect the strong partnership we are building to support our Fireflies! These conversations are invaluable in helping us work together to ensure that every student is thriving academically, socially and emotionally.
As we move through the year, I want to encourage you to stay connected and involved. You are essential and together we continue to create a foundation for life-long success by igniting minds, inspiring hearts and empowering students to become courageous world changers.
I hope you enjoy the long weekend. Continue to shine bright, Fireflies!
Filled with Firefly Pride,
Carla

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
🎗️ September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Fort Bend ISD is proud to #GoGold in support of the brave children and families impacted by this devastating disease. Gold symbolizes the strength, courage, and resilience of every child battling cancer.
This month, let’s stand together as a community to raise awareness, support research, and honor those who are fighting, those who have survived, and those we have lost. Dress up, share their stories, donate and join us in making a difference.
Alyssa Ferguson Elementary School will be collecting change all week long. Mason Jars will be located at the Front Office. Donations will go directly to Turn it Gold. More information by visiting their website at turnitgold.org .
The FBISD Whole Child Health Team (that's US) is excited to share FBISD Sound Bites - two to four minute video and audio clips to educate students and parents about the practice ways to improve our mental, physical, and social wellness.
Please visit https://www.fortbendisd.com/Page/165705 for more information.

FE Cultural Display
📅 Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉
🌎 What is Hispanic Heritage Month? Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) is a special time to recognize and celebrate the cultures, contributions, and history of Hispanic and Latinx people around the world. From art and music to science and politics, Hispanic communities have made a huge impact globally—and we’re excited to honor this rich cultural heritage right here at our school!
💡 Why Are We Celebrating? At Alyssa Ferguson Elementary School, we believe in the importance of diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness. Hispanic Heritage Month gives us the opportunity to educate students about the many contributions of Hispanic and Latinx people while fostering appreciation and respect for the diverse world we live in. It's about learning, celebrating, and understanding!
Come visit the display, created by our Educational Enrichment Team, in the main hallway and join us in celebrating the beauty and diversity of Hispanic culture! 🎉
