CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 19 STUDENTS ADVANCING TO PHASE 2 AUDITIONS TONIGHT!!!! GOOD LUCK TO THESE STUDENTS! PHASE 2 SIGN-IN TIMES HAVE BEEN POSTED TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM AND ALSO ATTACHED TO THIS NEWSLETTER.

**CONTINUE BRINGING CONCERT & MARCHING INSTRUMENTS TO CLASS THIS WEEK!
REMINDER: Family contribution must be paid in full ($375) by Dec. 15 in order to go on the band trip! Any student NOT paid in full by December 15 will be dropped from the trip.
IN PREPARATION FOR OUR THURSDAY CONCERT, BAND MEMBERS NEED TO PURCHASE CONCERT UNIFORM APPAREL AS FOLLOWS:
MEN: White pleated tuxedo shirt with small winged collar / black dress shoes
WOMEN: closed-toed black dress shoes
GOALS FOR THE WEEK
1. To perform with great confidence & dominate at All-Region Phase 2 auditions!
2. To have a wonderful concert on Thursday
3. To perform a wonderful parade on Saturday
EVENTS THIS WEEK
1. All-Region Auditions, Phase 2 today @ Wylie HS
2. Chamber Music coachings during class this week (NO PRIVATE LESSONS ON SECTIONAL DAYS)
3. Leadership Meeting, Tuesday during A block
4. Butter Braid Delivery & Pick-Up, Tuesday, 3:30-5:00p
- ALL orders absolutely MUST be picked up on Tuesday
5. Full Orchestra Rehearsal, Tuesday, 4:45-6:45p
6. Booster Meeting, Tuesday @ 7:00p
7. Full Ensemble Rehearsals (winds + percussion)
- Concert Band: Wednesday during B block
- Symphonic Band: Thursday 8:00-8:45a
- Wind Ensemble: Thursday during A block
8. Stage Set-up, Thursday 7:45a (all leadership required)
9. Plano Band Holiday Concert, Thursday
- Concert Band: warm-up begins on stage - 6:15p, case storage - ensemble room
- Symphonic Band: warm-up begins in orchestra room - 6:30p, case storage - ensemble room
- Wind Ensemble: warm-up begins in band hall - 6:45p, case storage - instrument storage room
- Required attire for all ensembles: formal black wear (will be assigned during band classes)
- Optional attire/accessories: festive holiday accessories (Santa hat, reindeer ears, Christmas light necklace, etc.)

11. Plano Christmas Parade Marching Band Performance, Saturday

- RED Santa hat required for all members!

DUE THIS WEEK
1. All Region Entry Fee - $11 - PAST DUE - PAY HERE or to the black box
2. Band Spring Trip Payment #5 - $116 - DUE DEC. 28 ($540 total in account)
3. REMINDER: Family contribution must be paid in full by Dec. 15 in order to go on the band trip!

1. HONORS BAND
- Theory Assignment, PAST DUE
- Name of solo/composer (typed), PAST DUE
- Additional details are available in Honors Band Google Classroom.
2. Christmas Carols On Parade, MEMORIZATION RE-TEST FRIDAY - TEST GRADE
- this is your opportunity to improve your score from last week
3. School-owned marching instrument cleaning/inspection - DUE December 16
- Counts as your final exam grade!!!
- BRASS: must be cleaned, valves oiled, slides greased, according to the instructions attached below
- WOODWINDS: must include a note in instrument case state needed repairs, if any
- ALL cases must be completely cleaned out to spotless
