Center for Advancing Rural Health Equity (CARHE)
Fall Mountain Regional School District (SAU 60) is pleased to celebrate its newest partner, the Center for Advancing Rural Health Equity at Dartmouth Health!
Over the next 12 months, our district will work with the team at CARHE on a project that leverages the assets of our community. This project will create a system that links volunteers and organizational partners to residents with needs like transportation, food access, and social connectivity.
We look forward to sharing more about this exciting partnership!

High School and Elementary School Pen Pals!
On May 20th we had our pen pal meet and greet. Ninth and tenth graders met the second and third graders they have been writing to all year. A group of juniors and seniors set-up and ran numerous activities such as a treasure hunt, obstacle course, field day stations, a scavenger hunt, the Storywalk© and cooperative games. A ninth grader wore the Wildcat Costume for 3+hours!
All in all 165 district students were involved in this visit. Here are some great quotes we heard:
- “I love it here, I don’t ever want to go back to school.” NWS 2nd grader.
- “The best part of my day was meeting my pen pal.” APS 3rd grader.
- “Elementary students have so much energy, they just keep going.” HS junior.
- “There were a lot of positives that came from today, every group I was with on the treasure hunt had a great time.” HS Junior

Fall Mountain Regional High School hosted the annual spring career fair on May 29, 2024, during TEAM time in the gymnasium.
Eighteen local businesses participated in the career fair. Students learned valuable information about careers in their community and also gained important communication and investigative skills.
Participants included were Bensonwood Homes, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Tractor Supply in Walpole, Hubbard LLC, Walpole Veterinary Hospital, Dartmouth Health, Endyne Water Testing, GreenSource Fabrication Walpole Valley Farm, Whelen, Sullivan County Nursing, Timken Super Precision, Laura Dunbar Art, USDA Farm Service Agency, Cheshire County Conservation District, Bergeron Mechanical HVAC, Sullivan County Department Of Corrections, Walpole Recreation Department, and the Savings Bank of Walpole.
The Career Fair is held twice a year at FMRHS. Anyone who is interested in participating in the fall can contact Kim Chandler at kchandler@sau60.org. Thank you Ms Gowdy and Ms Chandler!
