Principal's Update
Dear Eagle Springs Community,
It has been pure joy to hear all the excitement from our students as the snow made its way to our area these past few days. The enthusiasm they’ve shown as they experience the winter wonderland reminds us all of the magic of this season. We are ready to be back in action after the brief break!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their support as we’ve implemented our new car rider system. It’s been running smoothly, and our students have adapted well to the internal adjustments. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to ensure a safe and efficient drop-off and pick-up process.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that our next party day will be the Friendships Parties, scheduled for February 7th. Be on the lookout for the detailed party schedule in next week’s edition of the Eagle Eye.
A special thank you to our amazing PTO for their generous contribution to our 5th-grade team! The PTO, in partnership with our Administrative Team, has co-sponsored our learning experience at iFly, helping to reduce the cost of participation and making this experience affordable for all. Because of their support, our students will have the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable learning adventure at IFly. We are truly grateful to our PTO for for their partnership ad dedication to enriching learning experiences—it means so much to us!
In addition, we are thrilled to be partnering with the PTO for their upcoming Spring event and fundraiser – the ESE Boosterthon Glow Run. The event will kick off on February 18th when students return to school after the February Break. The GLOW run event is scheduled for February 28th. We can’t wait to see the glow of enthusiasm as our Eagles run to raise funds for our school community. PTO has committed 50% of the funds raised to be donated directly back to the school along with additional consideration of funds toward our ongoing library update project, depending on how much we raise! We truly appreciate the support.
Parent Feedback & Input
We’ve heard from several parents regarding spirit nights, party fees, and other questions about school events. Thank you for reaching out to either me or Becky, our Assistant Principal, to share your thoughts and ask your questions. Your feedback is invaluable as we work to improve and plan for the upcoming school year.
We are forming a committee to help guide planning for the 2025-2026 school year, taking your feedback and input into account. We are seeking 2 parents, 2 business owners, and 2 community members to join this planning team. If you're interested in participating and sharing your ideas, please email me directly at ghall@humbleisd.net and I will send you more information about the process! If you're unable to participate but know someone who might be interested, please feel free to share this opportunity with them. Business owners and community members are welcome to join, even if they don’t have students at our school.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to working together to create an even better school year for our students!
Have a great weekend!!
Mrs. Hall

She has been an advocate for public education, teachers and students in Humble ISD through ATPE and has served on both the district and region boards. Dear Parents/Guardians,
All ESL students will take TELPAS tests in February; the dates are below. ESL students only take these tests in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
All 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade ESL students must be at school on their testing day(s). The TELPAS tests give teachers the information they need to determine the next steps for these students as they progress from their current grade level to the next. Please make sure they are here on time to eat breakfast before their test begins. All testing will begin by 8:15 a.m.; remember that if your student begins their test and gets checked out of school, their test must be submitted as is. Please allow your student to remain at school for the whole day so they have the full day to complete their test.
If you have an ESL student in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, please add these dates to your calendar.
February 19th: 2nd & 3rd grade TELPAS Reading/Writing
February 20th: 4th & 5th grade TELPAS Reading/Writing
February 24th: 2nd & 3rd grade TELPAS Listening & Speaking
February 27th: 4th & 5th grade TELPAS Listening & Speaking
Thank You,
Mrs. Pickard

With Rooms, parents are able to:
View each elementary student's class information, including announcements and materials.
Engage directly with teachers in two-way messaging.
