PERSPECTIVE
Upper school photography students worked this week on capturing images from a different perspective. During this activity students had a fun time trying to figure out the best angles and distances to make their photos look as if something impossible was happening (like holding a dump truck in the palm of your hand).
PERSPECTIVE is an interesting thing.
Our perspective, the way we see something, can change the way we think and change the way we react.
Our perspective can be skewed by our circumstances, and also by our busy schedules and priorities.
Our perspective can sometimes make us feel as if something is impossible.
Our perspective can cause us to focus on and prioritize the wrong things.
GOD'S PERSPECTIVE, however, sees the bigger picture!
God's perspective sees the purpose in everything.
God's perspective reveals what is possible.
The beginning of the school year is often filled with busyness and stress. Many days we get caught up in the logistics of making school happen, packing lunches, and getting from on location to the other. Some of these days we forget why we are really doing what we are doing.
This week God helped us realign our perspective with His. From just the right angle, He reminded us of our "why."
CCS exists to further the kingdom of God by preparing students to impact the world. This impact starts with placing our faith and trust in Jesus.
This week four of our students made the decision to give their lives to Jesus!
He is the God of possible! Despite our failures and distractions, He makes a way.
He is raising up a generation for His kingdom and we are so excited to be a part of the impact they will have!
THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!
MORNING DEVOTION SCRIPTURES
Last week students heard some powerful mini-messages! Many of the students will remember the bird illustration Mr. Yearwood used with 1 Corinthians 10:13. And, on Friday they got a special surprise morning devotion visit from Dr. Boyd!

EMOTIONS
Mrs. Snow's class learned this week about the letter "E" and about emotions.
As emotion detectives they learned to recognize the feelings of others and how to help themselves when they feel a big emotion. During their fine motor center they created different emotions with play dough.
Look at these sweet faces!
ARTISTS IN TRAINING
- Mrs. Girffin's JrK and Kindergarten students studied Rousseau's Jungle with Lion.
