Branagan's Bulletin
Week of December 9 - 13, 2024
Welcome Back!
Hello, MHS!
Welcome Back! I hope you had a great weekend. It is a great time of year for our school. This is the time of the year when our winter sports programs are beginning and and the holiday break is quickly approaching. Also, our school is coming off a wonderful weekend of theater and song with the production of "A Christmas Carol" that lit up our stage this weekend. Bravo, to the Cast and Crew! Additionally, this is the time of year when our school community comes together to help those in need. With our annual Food and Toy Drive in full swing, it allows our school community to come together to help our greater community by filling the shelves at the Middleborough Food Pantry. I hope you will consider participating in these wonderful events.
Speaking of wonderful events...the Eat to Heat will take place this Tuesday evening. A special note of thanks to the Key Club for their leadership and advocacy in ensuring that our school and help those in need with heating assistance this winter. Job Well Done! I am excited for the dinner this week!
This is an important week as we mark the midpoint of Quarter II. I am very excited to see the growth in all of you from the close of Quarter I. The first quarter is a time for many transitions. It is a time where you are establishing new routines and expectations for yourself. I hope that as you are receiving your Quarter II Progress Reports, they are reflective of what you are doing within your classes and meeting your personal goals for academic success. I know you can do it. :)
Proud of you!
Bran

Inclement Weather Procedure
As we head into the colder months of the school year, we wanted to share with you some information about inclement weather and how we will approach the decision making process of school delays and/or closure. One of the most difficult challenges we have is deciding whether or not to cancel or delay school due to inclement weather. Like weather forecasting, the school-closing decision process is not a perfect science. However, we believe it is important for students and families to understand how it works as Middleborough has its own unique set of factors that are taken into consideration when determining delays and/or cancellations.
We recognize that the decision to cancel school for the day is impactful on all families. Student and staff safety will always be my top priority as I navigate these decisions. We hope you find this information helpful in your planning for the coming winter months and helps everyone understand the process used to make the best possible decision for our students and staff.
