Tuesday morning all DES staff attended a training on Building Based Emergency Management Procedures put on by Dighton PD.

Tuesday afternoon DES staff, along with all Elementary staff in the district, attended a training at Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School on Anxiety-Related and Oppositional Behavior. This workshop was presented by Jessica Minahan whose biography and link to her works can be found HERE.

One of Mrs. Gittus' favorite books is “We’re All Wonders”, which is written and illustrated by R.J. Palacio. It is a follow-up to the book “Wonder” and designed for younger children.

Both books have a wonderful message of choosing kindness and including others, even if they might be different from us. It reminds us that we all want to be accepted for who we are and that being different is OK. I love the quote from the book “Look with kindness and you will always find wonder.”

Hello, my name is Linda Caponigro. I am a nursing assistant who will be working at Dighton Elementary and Dighton Middle school supporting the nurses at each school as students visit the Nurse’s Office. I am a certified Nursing Assistant and hold a Medical Assistant degree. I have worked in the medical field for over 30 years. I am excited to become a part of the Dighton Rehoboth School systems and look forward to working with the students and families.
