Superintendent's Message
Greeting Lakeland Families! Another great year is in the books. This year was filled with so many wonderful moments and a lot of learning! The graduation ceremonies last week for Mountain View, Lakeland, and Timberlake High Schools highlighted the strength of our district. We are sending almost 400 graduates off to start their new chapters. It will be fun to see all that they accomplish!
As a community we have much to be thankful for. The levy took a lot of work and was a huge team effort. Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, and community members who worked to ensure that our taxpayers had accurate information when they went to the polls.
I am retiring at the end of this month. I have been blessed to work alongside our amazing staff for the past 34 years. I am grateful to have been able to serve this community. Lakeland is a special place for so many reasons. I am confident that the board will find a highly qualified superintendent to take the reigns. It’s time to pass the torch. Thank you for partnering with me! There is much that I will miss, but I know our district will continue to thrive. It is filled with so many great people.
Thank you for sharing your children with us! Have a wonderful summer!!
Warm Regards,
Lisa Arnold
District Highlights
After 34 amazing years with the Lakeland Joint School District, Ana Schnepf is retiring and while we are so happy for her, she will be incredibly missed. Ana has poured her heart into every school she’s been part of, from her early years teaching in the Lakeland School District at Spirit Lake Elementary, Twin Lakes Elementary and John Brown Elementary, to the past seven years leading John Brown as a dedicated and inspiring principal. Her love for her students, her schools, and her staff has been felt in every hallway, every classroom, and every heart she’s touched. Ana has always put kids first, leading with kindness, strength, and a deep belief in what’s possible. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done and wish her nothing but joy and new adventures in this next chapter. Thank you, Ana! You’ve made a difference that will never be forgotten.
