Breakfast & Lunch
Parents, we have some younger students that aren't sure if they should have breakfast or not. Please let your child know if you would like them to have breakfast at school or not.
We will be offering a cold take and eat breakfast this year. Students can take a breakfast bag and eat in the cafeteria, or take it to their classroom before school begins and eat while getting ready for the day. The time to grab a breakfast bag will be from 7:45-8:00, so be sure to get to school on time!
Breakfast price: $2.00 (free and reduced students have either a free or reduced rate)
Lunch prices have increased for this year. They are as follows:
*K-5: $2.50
*6-8: $2.75
Adults: $3.15
*free and reduced students have either a free or reduced rate
Over the Counter Medications
We will no longer be able to administer over-the-counter medication for students. Parents are able to come into school and administer it or complete the Med Authorization Form and return to school. The following message was emailed to all parents from our school nurse, Ms. Murry.
Here is the state required Med Authorization form for administering medications in school, including over-the-counter medications. Please fill out the parent portion of the form, once complete please provide the form to your child's prescribing doctor to complete their portion. The completed form will need to be faxed or brought to school for your child's file so that we may administer the prescribed medication if the need arises. If the prescribed medication is over-the-counter and you feel your child will need to take it at school frequently, please provide the school with a small supply of the medication to keep on hand. Thank you for your understanding and attention to this matter. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Have a great day!
**Morning Drop Off and Afternoon Pickup**
This year the circle drive in front of the school will be closed to regular traffic from 7:40-8:00 a.m. and from 2:40-3:10. Buses will be using the drive to drop off and pick up students. Students who walk or get dropped off/picked up will need to do so at the sidewalk or the gravel parking lot on Chapman St. Parents are free to park and walk their child to the school door for drop off and walk back for pick up at the end of the day. The circle drive will be open the rest of the day for regular school business activities.
The shuttle to Indian Creek High School will pick up high school students in the front circle drive and will leave Paw Paw School at 7:55 every morning.
Bus Students
If you are a bus rider please be ready for the bus at the time your driver tells you is your pick up time. This helps ensure our routes stay on schedule.

HANDLE WITH CARE
Handle with Care
If your family is experiencing difficulties at home, we would like to provide additional support at school. We understand that you are not always able to share details, and that is okay. If your child is coming to school after a difficult night, morning, or weekend, please message us, “Handle with care.” Nothing else will be said or asked. This will let us know that your child may need extra time, patience, or help throughout the school day.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
At Paw Paw, we are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of families within our community. To better understand the needs and challenges faced by families here, we are sending out a quick Family Needs Questionnaire. Your participation is highly encouraged, as it will help us improve our ability to provide services and support to address the issues that matter most to you and your family. The answers you provide will be kept confidential and be used only for the purpose of providing you with information and resources regarding your families needs. To participate in the Family Needs Questionnaire, please click here.
We understand that your time is important, and we genuinely appreciate your willingness to participate. In the coming weeks, our team will be reaching out to those who requested it.
Thank you for your help in building a stronger, more supportive community for all. Together, we can make a difference. If you have any immediate questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Jennifer DuBois at, jdubois@2paws.net
