The Book Fair will be here soon! The library will be filled with many new books, posters, book kits, plus fun and engaging extras. Shopping for the students is during Falcon Period, Lunch, and their regular library time (Tuesday 6th grade and Mrs. Male's class, Wednesday Mr. Wilson's class, Thursday 7th grade, and Friday 8th grade.) The Book Fair will be open each day from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM from Dec. 10-13. The book fair will wrap up on the morning of Dec. 16.

The choir concert is Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00 pm at the high school. Students need to wear their black choir shirt with black pants or skirt, & red, black or white shoes, or a combination of those colors. Each grade needs to report to the following locations at 6:30 pm:

-6th Grade: HS Choir Room (D11)

-7th Grade: HS Cafeteria

-8th Grade: HS Band Room

The annual Holiday Band Program is quickly approaching. Please join us at Field Middle School on Thursday, December 12 at 7 p.m. for some holiday music. The concert will be held in the gym but please check below for warm up locations.

The dress for the concert will be dark pants/bottoms/skirts and holiday colored tops. If the 7th graders have last year's band polo they may wear those with dark bottoms. Unfortunately, the person who has made our polos for many many years is no longer able to make them, so for this year we were not able to order any; thus, we will be wearing holiday colors.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the program. The students are playing some very entertaining music such as African Bell Carol, Angels On Parade, Jingle Bell Rock and the ever popular All I Want For Christmas Is You. See you at the event!

With the snow falling and a winter wonderland outside, we're feeling *all* the festive vibes here at Field Middle School! Celebrate the season by dressing up, spreading cheer, and showing off you FMS pride. Get ready for the FMS Holiday Week, December 16-20!

All 8th grade students received information about Field Middle School's trip to Washington D.C. on Monday, September, 30th. If you didn't receive this information, please click on the links below. The first payment was due to Nowak Tours on October 18th. Directions on how to create a Nowak Tours online account are found in the attached registration packet. The second payment of $196 is due on January 24, 2025. The parent informational meeting/medication drop off is scheduled for May 8th at 6 p.m.

We are now hiring classified substitute workers for various roles, including Playground Monitors, Educational Aides, Cafeteria Workers, Secretarial Staff, Custodial Staff, Bus Aides, and Bus Drivers. A current BCI & FBI background check is required before applying for any substitute position. Some positions may also require an aide permit, which the Administration Office can help you obtain. You have the flexibility to work the hours that suit you, and you'll be on call to cover for regular employees. This letter is to inform you of the immunization requirements for (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis), as a booster to the initial series of required doses. Ohio is requiring the Tdap vaccine, as opposed to Td, to protect against Pertussis (whooping cough). In addition to the Tdap, your child is also required to receive the Meningococcal vaccine prior to the entry into Grade 7. The Meningococcal vaccine prevents bacteria that is commonly spread from person to person, especially in teens and young adults. These bacteria can cause meningitis, which is an infection of the fluid and lining surrounding the brain and spinal cord; it can also enter the bloodstream, causing sepsis. Please contact your health care provider to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccines your child will need for the next year. If your student is missing items, please have them check the office as soon as possible. We currently have quite a few items waiting to be found including: electronics, school supplies, water bottles, clothing and much more. Please consider putting your student's name on water bottles, pencil pouches, lunch boxes, etc., so that we can return them when found.

We are kicking off our Christmas campaign today.

We were able to distribute 10 Thanksgiving meals this year with your support. As we move on to Christmas, we are asking for your support again.

We have at least 15 families that we work with through the Falcon Family Closet / neighborhood bridges initiatives. This can be a difficult time of the year for them, and our goal is to ease the burden.

Please help if you can

Our Christmas Food Drive is Saturday, December 14, at the Falcon Family Closet from 11am-1pm. We will be accepting perishable and non-perishable items at this time. To fill our Christmas Dinner Box, we will need the items listed below, but please feel free to bring the items on the flyer. Our families will need the items during winter break too.
