DECEMBER LUNCH MENU
Below are a couple "cafeteria-related" reminders:
- If your child is supposed to eat breakfast at school, they need to go directly to the cafeteria after getting dropped off or off the bus. They can go to the playground after they have finished eating.
- Students should be instructed to not share their lunch with classmates, or ask for food from others. While sharing may seem like a friendly gester, for health and safety reasons, we want our students to only eat what their parents/guardians are expecting them to eat.
- If you join your child for lunch, please do not share food with other students or bring in treats for other students! In addition to the reasons listed in #2, it can also lead to an increase in student movement (when they should be sitting and eating their own lunch) and possible hurt feelings.

DON'T MISS OUT ON THESE AWESOME OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR CHILD AND/OR FAMILY!
VETERANS' DAY RECOGNIZED
In honor of Veterans' Day on November 11th, some of our students wrote cards or drew pictures to send to the Wisconsin Veterans' Home at King in Waupaca. Classroom teachers used a few days of their writing block time to encourage students to write letters to veterans for this meaningful cause. Below are a few examples of some of these cards. We truly do thank veterans' for their service!
SCIENCE IN 5TH GRADE - FOOD CHAIN GAME & SQUID DISSECTION
No Bones About It 😉 - 6th Grade Learned the Scientific Names of Bones!
We can ALWAYS use more individuals to help substitute as a Regular Education EA.
This position would entail only a few hours a day helping with lunch & recess duties in the grade level needed. If you apply, please let us know when you are available to start helping out!
Thanks for considering this way to help in your child's school ... and GET PAID to do it! 🙂
The SPAPSD is excited to share a valuable resource with our families that can make a significant difference in the lives of families with children who have special health care needs. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has launched Wisconsin Wayfinder: Children’s Resource Network, a platform aimed at connecting families to essential support and resources.
What is Wisconsin Wayfinder?
Wisconsin Wayfinder is a user-friendly website and a toll-free helpline (877-WiscWay) designed to help families of children with delays, disabilities, special health care needs, or mental health conditions easily access the services and support they need. It's an initiative that strives to provide families with personalized assistance, making it easier for you to navigate through essential services beyond what schools provide.
Why is it Important?
As parents and caregivers, you are at the forefront of advocating for your children's needs. Wisconsin Wayfinder can be a critical link for families seeking vital resources. It can help your children thrive by connecting them with the right services and supports, especially during critical moments such as after an initial diagnosis.
How Can You Get Help?
We encourage you to explore Wisconsin Wayfinder by visiting its user-friendly website or by calling the toll-free number, 877-WiscWay (877-947-2929). This resource is available to assist you in finding the services and support your child may need.
Getting the Word Out
We also ask for your help in spreading the word about Wisconsin Wayfinder to other families in our community. If you find this resource valuable, please consider sharing it with friends and family members who might benefit from it.
By connecting with Wisconsin Wayfinder, you can access compassionate and knowledgeable children’s resource guides who are ready to assist you on your journey to accessing the support your child needs to thrive.
Thank you for being a part of our community, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance in using this valuable resource.

TIP from our GREEN & HEALTHY COMMITTEE
The changing seasons are the perfect time for cleaning and decluttering. When getting rid of clothing that is too small or toys your children no longer play with, be sure to donate gently used items as opposed to placing them in the trash.
Giving items a second life helps others and our planet.
