Letter From Mr. Romero
Friends and Families of High Plains,
As we head into Spring Break next week, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership. I hope this break provides a chance for rest, time with family, and moments to recharge.
When we return, we’ll be entering an important stretch of the school year. In April, our students will be participating in CMAS testing, and before we know it, we’ll be in the final sprint toward the last days of school. This is always a busy and exciting time, filled with learning, growth, and celebrations of all that our students have accomplished.
Please note that CMAS testing for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will take place between April 7-April 25th. Specified schedules will come from grade level teachers closer to the testing start date. Students need to be at school on time each day and have had breakfast (either at home or school) by 8am as testing begins early. If you are opting your student out of testing, please complete this by going to your PowerSchool Parent Portal and selecting State Assessment Exemptions.
Enjoy the break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for the home stretch!
Best,
Robert Romero
Principal, High Plains Elementary
