Thursday, November 21: Parent-Student-Teacher virtual conferences from 1:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Friday, November 22: Parent-Student-Teacher virtual conferences from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Friday, November 22: No classes for students K-11.

December 9 - December 13: Pre-U Exams

December 12 - STUDY DAY FOR GRADES 9-11 (No classes)

December 13 - December 19: Senior School December Exams, GRADES 9-11.

Grade 11 Grad Photo and Class of 2025 Grad Ring Orders

Thursday, November 14 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., grade 11 students will take their cap and gown photos and order their grad rings if they wish to purchase one. Students are reminded that they MUST bring in a $100 deposit for their ring, (cash, or cheque made payable to Jostens).

PLEASE NOTE: this will be the ONLY day for grad photos and grad ring orders so we ask that all grade 11 students be present.

Cost of Rings:

Lustrium - $350 (mixture of nickel and chromium alloy)

10K Gold - $1340

14K Gold - $1640

School Photo Re-takes

Students on the re-take list will be sent an email from Ms. Kaur early next week, and are asked to bring their original proofs in the Lifetouch envelopes with them to school on that morning.

Parent-Student-Teacher Virtual Conferences Nov 21 & 22: Booking will open Thursday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m. Interviews are optional. If it is more convenient, you are welcome to contact a teacher directly to set up a phone call or an alternate meeting time. You may also wish to wait until the Trimester 1 Report Card is emailed to you (target date Tuesday, November 19) and then arrange appointments accordingly. Students are expected to attend the Parent Student Teacher Conferences with their parents on November 21 and 22. The instructions for booking appointments are attached.

Calling all scholars!

The Montreal Round of the World Scholars Cup is taking place here at Selwyn House Jan 26-27, 2024. Selwyn House students have historically had successful showings at this fun, multi-faceted academic competition and we are looking to fill this year’s team. Weekly practices will start soon. Please contact Ms. Egan for more information.

24 Hours for the Unhoused - Socks and Soup Collection

From now until November 12, students participating in "24 Hours for the Unhoused" are collecting new socks and canned soup to donate to Stepping Up and Dans la Rue. We encourage everyone to contribute to this worthy cause!

Holiday Bazaar at SHS!

With the holiday season just around the corner, the PVA is excited to announce their first Holiday Bazaar on Thursday, December 5! Keeping sustainability in mind, after the November break the PVA will start collecting gently used items including toys, games, puzzles, holiday decorations and more, for resale to students and family members in a holiday market format. All the money raised will benefit Resilience Montreal, a non-profit day shelter. It's a great opportunity for parents to get involved! Sign up if you can contribute baked goods and/or volunteer for a shift. Items can be dropped off at the school's front desk starting Monday November 11. • Please read the Exam Protocol.
• In the event of a snow day, the make up day will be December 20 FOR GRADES 9-11 ONLY
